And the baby weighs…
9lbs!!!!!!!!
One whole pound more than last week! I would have figured there would have been no weight gain b/c of how much Keeg craps.

Man o man this stroller thingy is comfortable.
I left the stroller out on the porch the other day and the exiled Korn-la-shang-kitty-ali thought she found a nice comfy new bed/perch.

“Why you takin pictures of me Jamie!”

Today we all went to the pediatrician’s office for Keeg’s first visit. He came out weighing 8lbs and is expected to gain 1oz. a day for the next few weeks. The Dr checked him out and said his jaundice looked good. His only problem was that it seemed that the muscle in the right side of his neck hadn’t developed as well as the one on the left(prob from having his neck crinked in the womb). Now she thinks we need to see a physical therapist to get the muscle massaged out. Bullshit I say. I’ll look up massages and remedies on the internet and try to save us the $100’s of dollars on therapy. Besides that the Dr was very nice and explained some things and we were in and out quick.

Here’s Keeg in his new room. I painted an island inspired nursery theme and the jungle bedding went perfect w/ it. Our little monkey all happy in his crib…

Keegan Tosh Kelly came into our lives 4/14/08 @ 8:37pm. He is a 8lb 9oz happy, healthy baby boy.
The day started @ 7am with Dana announcing that she thought her water had broke. A funny thing b/c we had been out w/ friends a few nights b/f and she announced a statistic that only 15% of women’s water break and not to worry it wouldn’t happen to her. Soooo, off to the hospital we go arriving around 8:30am. Mommas contractions weren’t close enough together so the Dr. decided to put her on a drip of Patosm(that’s some nasty stuff, I don’t wish it on anyone). Her contractions continued to get stronger throughout the day, but she never dilated more than 3cm. At about 7:30 pm the Dr. decided a C-section was the way to go. I was aloud to get dressed in scrubs and they prepped Dana for surgery. The anticipation was killing me and my stomach was in knots (I can’t even imagine what Dana was feeling). I walked into the OR last and the door shut b/h me. They asked me to sit on the stool by her head and keep Momma calm. As I peaked over the curtain all I can remember is blood and gore and the the Doc saying…”It’s A Boy!” As most of you know we (Dana) had decided to keep the sex a secret so everyone would have a big surprise. Momma recovered in the room while they took Keegan to the Pediatrician to be checked out. The next few days and nights were a blurr and Mommy and Keegan were released from the hospital on Thursday 4/17. My mother in law, mother and sister all have helped us out over the last few days and many well wishers have stopped by w/ food and presents for our new little man. Now lets hope he sleep through the night tonight.
